Health authorities have urged people to be careful not to get bitten by hair mites that cause tsutsugamushi.

The Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said last year that the number of hair mites increased sharply in early October and appeared the most in mid-October.

He also emphasized that you should follow the prevention rules for hair mites, such as wearing long arms and long pants when doing outdoor activities and not taking off your clothes in the grass, as you can get Tsutsugamushi if you are bitten by a hair mite.

Tsutsugamushi is a disease that accompanies chills, muscle pain, fever, and headache, and can be cured quickly if treated early, but if not treated, fever can continue for about two weeks.
