A civic group has filed a complaint with the prosecution against the Board of Audit and Inspection, including auditor Choi Hae-jin and secretary-general Choi Dal-young, claiming that the Board of Audit and Inspection conducted a poor audit in connection with the construction of the presidential office relocation.

The People's Solidarity for Participatory Democracy held a press conference in front of the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office on the morning of the 22nd and accused the Board of Audit and Inspection of creating and exercising false official documents.

The former presidential secretary, who is responsible for supervising the construction, also accused him of creating and exercising false official documents, abuse of authority, and loss of state funds.

The People's Solidarity for Participatory Democracy criticized the Board of Audit and Inspection for "looking at" the results after a year and eight months, saying that it only took "cautionary" measures to hold no one accountable for various misconducts.

Earlier, the People's Solidarity for Participatory Democracy requested a public audit last year with 700 citizens to investigate whether there was corruption in the process of selecting construction companies and contracts related to the relocation of the presidential office and official residence.

On the 12th of last month, the Board of Audit and Inspection announced the result of an audit that 1.6 billion won in state coffers was lost due to collusive ties between presidential security officials and brokers, and notified the president's office and the Ministry of Public Administration and Security of negligence in management and supervision.
