The Korean Medical Association, a medical organization, and the Korean Medical University and Medical Graduate Association have decided to participate in the ruling-opposition parliamentary consultative body to discuss the solution to the legislative conflict.

The two organizations said in their statement that they clearly oppose the government's unilateral policy implementation, but decided to participate in the consultative body because they could no longer overlook the collapse of medical care in Korea.

In addition, he stressed that the leave of absence submitted by medical students should be approved according to the university's autonomous will, and the number of medical school admissions for the 2025 and 2026 school year should be discussed in the council.

It then set up a detailed implementation plan and roadmap for the legislation of the medical quota estimation organization, and demanded the independence of the Korea Institute of Medical Education and Evaluation, which evaluates the quality of medical education.
