When asked by Kim Jae-won of the Cho Kuk Innovation Party whether the recent performance of the national soccer team affects the final audit results of the Korea Football Association or Chung Mong-gyu's fourth consecutive term, Lee Jung-woo, director of the Sports Bureau of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, said, "I don't think so at all."
Director Lee also added that the current situation is not desirable when the people cannot cheer properly while watching the national team game.
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has been conducting an audit of the Korea Football Association since July, and will announce the final audit results at the end of this month after pointing out that there were some procedural problems in the process of appointing Hong Myung-bo on the 2nd.
