Regarding People's Power Han Dong-hoon's announcement that he would recommend a special inspector apart from the recommendation of directors of the North Korean Human Rights Foundation, the president's office said that the North Korean human rights issue is a matter of conservative identity and is not a simple matter.

A senior presidential official said in a phone call with YTN, stressing that it makes no sense to only receive special inspectors when the Democratic Party said it would not recommend directors of the North Korean Human Rights Foundation.

Another official said that Han needs to have the identity of being the head of the ruling party, and explained that the connection between the special inspector and the director of the North Korean Human Rights Foundation was decided after floor consultation.
