Rep. Kwon Sung-dong said in a CBS radio interview that the push for a special inspector is a party theory linked to the appointment of a director of the North Korean Human Rights Foundation, and that he should have consulted with the floor leader, one of the two-top, before changing the party's theory.
He then pointed out that it is simply self-righteous politics to push ahead unilaterally as prosecutors investigate, and that politics that causes conflict in the party over dinner with close lawmakers should be avoided.
In a phone call with YTN, a pro-Yoon-gye lawmaker also said, "The recent moves of close lawmakers seem only to be factional boss politics," stressing that in the end, this will hammer the leader, and that remarks and actions that could cause division and conflict in the party should be prudent.
