Lee Byung-no, head of Damyang County in Jeollanam-do Province, who was indicted on charges of violating the Public Official Election Act, was also fined 5 million won, which is equivalent to the nullification of the election.

The Gwangju High Court today (24th) rejected Lee's appeal, who was fined 5 million won in the first trial.

The county chief was charged in March 2022 with providing meals to eight people, including campaign workers, and paying some of them for lawyers.

Governor Lee said he would appeal to the Supreme Court, saying there was a legal unfair aspect.
