The Seoul Central District Court today (24th) sentenced lawyer Jeong, who was charged with forced harassment, to one year in prison and ordered him to complete an 80-hour sexual violence treatment program.
However, he was not arrested in court.
The court explained that the victim specifically and consistently stated his reaction and feelings related to the incident, and that it was also consistent with the CCTV footage on the scene.
In response, lawyer Chung protested that he would appeal the ruling, calling it a one-sided ruling against common sense.
Lawyer Jeong has been on trial for molesting and injuring a junior lawyer at a wine bar in Seocho-gu, Seoul, in March last year.
Separately, lawyer Chung is also being tried separately on charges of posting a post on Facebook containing the identity of the victim of the late former Seoul Mayor Park Won-soon's sexual violence case.
