As North Korea resumed its provocation of garbage balloons, it sent leaflets to South Korea for the first time.

Balloon debris has fallen to the presidential office building, and there are observations that the level of provocations could be raised as the U.S. presidential election is imminent.

There are so many leaflets that they look red all over the street. The large street trees of

are covered with sheets of paper on each branch.

A leaflet was found everywhere criticizing Yoon Suk Yeol's president and his wife for falling garbage balloons sent by North Korea.

A total of 20 were sent, but about 10 balloon debris fell in the Seoul metropolitan area alone.

There were no dangerous substances, but balloon drops were also found in Yongsan's presidential office and the Ministry of National Defense building following last July.

This is the first time that North Korea, which has continued its balloon provocation against the South with filth and garbage since late May, has sent a South Korean leaflet.

First of all, there is an analysis that it is a psychological battle in the nature of responding to the recent drone incident claimed by North Korea along with the South Korean military's loudspeaker broadcast to North Korea.

[Cho Han-beom/senior researcher at the Korea Institute for National Unification]: We are conducting a North Korean-style psychological war using the data we have accumulated so far and these know-how by printing leaflets.]

At the same time, concerns are raised that North Korea could be seen as a signal to increase the level of provocations, coupled with the U.S. presidential election and Russia's dispatch.

This is because Kim Jong-un directly revealed the inside of an underground tunnel base full of strategic missiles targeting South Korea and the U.S., following the highly enriched uranium manufacturing facility that has been hidden.

The Ministry of National Defense also mentioned the possibility of testing intercontinental ballistic missiles and ICBMs with a normal angle that significantly increased the flying distance, not high-angle launches so far.

[Minister of Defense Kim Yong-hyun: If you want to do so, you can't do it with a high-angle launch because it's their goal to successfully test the (atmospheric) reentry. It can also be tested by firing at a normal angle.

The atmospheric re-entry technology is the final stage of ICBM, and it is considered a representative military technology that North Korea is likely to take in return for sending troops to Russia.

Earlier, the National Intelligence Service estimated that a North Korean missile engineer was dispatched to Russia through image analysis using AI technology.
