Actor Lee Si-young and Sungshin Women's University Professor Seo Kyung-deok joined forces today (25th) in charge of "Dokdo Day."

According to Professor Seo Kyung-duk's team today (25), Professor Seo and Lee Si-young released a multilingual video that tells the history of Dokdo. The video was four minutes long, co-produced with Rakai Korea (CEO Kim Jae-bon), and was released in Korean and English.

In the video, the ruthless illegal overfishing by the Japanese colonial rule killed about 15,000 Dokdo rivers, and eventually declared official extinction in 1994. It also introduces that Korea today is conducting dielectric research, education, and public relations activities using the excavated remains of the Dokdo River.

Professor Seo, who organized the video, said, "We have produced a multilingual video of the little-known history of Dokdo and introduced it at home and abroad," adding, "It is spreading not only on YouTube but also on various social media, and we are sharing the video with major Korean and international student communities around the world."

Actor Lee Si-young, who recently visited Dokdo and made headlines, said, "I'm happy to narrate this meaningful video. I hope many domestic and foreign Internet users will watch it," he said.
