A resident of a border region suffering from noise damage from North Korea's broadcasting to the South knelt and appealed at the parliamentary inspection of the National Defense Committee, saying, "Please help me."

Resident A, who introduced himself as a mother raising a first-year elementary school daughter and a third-year son in Ganghwa, Gyeonggi Province, said, "Our daily life collapsed due to the noise of the broadcast."

Mr. A then cried, saying, "My daughter is having a hard time because she can't sleep, so she has mouth inflammation, and my son is having a hard time without sleeping until 3-4 a.m."

"If the grandchildren and children of the ruling and opposition party lawmakers, including the chairman of the National Defense Commission, say, 'I'm so tired because of the broadcast, I'm scared, I can't sleep,' how would you tell me?" he said, expressing his anger.

The border areas such as Paju and Ganghwa in Gyeonggi Province are suffering from the resumption of loudspeaker broadcasts to North Korea by the South Korean military and the resumption of loudspeaker broadcasts to the South in response.
In particular, residents are suffering from high-intensity creepy sounds such as iron scratching, animal crying, and even ghosting.

Vice Minister of National Defense Kim Sun-ho replied, "We will review the things that send noise-related experts to the site and take action."
