The Ministry of Health and Welfare has decided to invest an additional KRW 285 billion per month in the medical gap until the "serious" stage of the health care disaster crisis ends.

The Ministry of Health and Welfare made the decision today at the 21st Health Insurance Policy Review Committee at the International Electronics Center in Seocho-gu, Seoul.

Since the resignation of the major group, the government has provided about 200 billion won in health insurance every month to minimize medical gaps and patient discomfort for severe and emergency patients.

Subsidies have been paid to hospitals on a monthly basis, and the purpose of this additional input is to increase them until the end of the serious stage.

Since February, the health insurance budget approved for the introduction of the emergency treatment system has reached 1.8 trillion won, and as of the end of September, the actual execution amount is 620 billion won.
