North Korea indirectly admitted to sending troops to Russia.

A North Korean foreign ministry official said that if that happens, it is an act that meets international legal norms.

North Korea's Vice Foreign Minister Kim Jong-gyu also opened his mouth as if he were responding.

In an interview with the Korean Central News Agency, Vice Minister Kim said about the rumor of sending troops to Russia, "If that happens, I think it will be an act that meets international law norms."

He added that he believes there will definitely be forces that want to portray it as illegal.

However, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs avoided explicit confirmation of the dispatch, saying it was not directly involved in what the Ministry of National Defense was doing.

This is the first time that North Korea has expressed its position directly after the international community announced its dispatch of troops.

With a series of videos proving the dispatch of troops, the judgment that it is no longer inevitable seems to have worked.

On top of that, some analysts say it was a sensitive response to the international community's criticism that it was a violation of Security Council resolutions.

In the midst of this, there are observations that the North Korean military's deployment to the front line in Ukraine is also imminent.

Ukrainian President Zelenskyy is calling for strong pressure on the West, saying on social media, "We expect North Korean troops sent to Russia to be deployed to combat zones around the 27th-28th."
