The heads of the three countries' national security office met in Washington, D.C., and expressed concern about North Korea's dispatch of troops to Russia.

National Security Adviser John Kirby said at a briefing that National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan met with South Korea's National Security Office chief Shin Won-shik and Japan's National Security Director Takeo Akiba.

Kirby said the three-nation security chief expressed grave concern about the North Korean military's deployment to Russia and the potential use of its forces against Ukraine.
