Iraq's transport ministry announced on Wednesday local time that it was indefinitely suspending flights at all airports in Iraq due to heightened regional tensions, according to Reuters.
Iraq's state-run INA news agency said Israeli forces had carried out attacks targeting Iranian military facilities, which led to the Iraqi government's decision to suspend the flights.
