At around 11:41 a.m. today (27th), there was an electricity supply problem between Jeonju Station and Iksan Station on the Jeolla Line, which is used by the Korea Railroad Corporation, Korail, and Suseo High Speed Railway.

As a result, the operation of 11 trains on the Jeolla line was delayed by 10 minutes to up to 1 hour and 40 minutes.

Korail trains were found to have been delayed by 20 minutes to an hour for three regular trains and by 10 minutes to an hour and 40 minutes for six high-speed trains.

The SRT departed after the descending train waited for 1 hour and 48 minutes at Iksan Station, and the ascending train, which was scheduled to depart from Yeosu Expo Station at 2:31 p.m., was delayed by about 1 hour and 30 minutes from the original schedule.

Operations resumed at around 1:24 p.m. today (27th), when related staff were dispatched to the site and emergency recovery was carried out for the section of the disability.

A Korail official said the cause of the disability is under investigation and apologizes for the inconvenience caused by the train operation.
