Battleground e-Sports International Competition 'PGS 5' Wins Twisted Minds

Krafton announced that "Twisted Minds" in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) won the PUBG Global Series (PGS) 5, which ended on the 27th, marking the first consecutive PGS competition.

The competition was held at the TVT Green Park Studio in Bangkok, Thailand, with 24 top teams from around the world participating. From the 21st to the 23rd, 16 teams advanced to the final stage in the group stage, and Twisted Minds confirmed the championship with 133 points in a total of 18 matches held from the 25th to the 27th. Twisted Minds won $100,000 (about 140 million won) in prize money by winning the PGS 4 in June.

Twisted Mines' victory is an achievement amid fierce competition. The team, which had been sluggish on the first day, rebounded on the second day and accumulated scores, beating strong teams such as 17 games, Natus Vinchere and Kerberos e-sports on the third day to win the final championship. In particular, "Egg Jample" Artium Adakin, a member of the team, was named MVP for two consecutive competitions, proving his outstanding performance.

In Korea, Guangdong Fricks finished ninth and Gen.G finished 11th. Guangdong Fricks competed for the championship in the early stages, ranking third on the 1st, but finished unfortunately in the final 9th place. Gen.G came in 11th, winning chicken in the last match. At the group stage, GNL e-Sports and T1 failed to advance to the final, staying 21st and 24th, respectively.

Krafton will host PGS 6 from Nov. 4-10, confirming the top eight PGS points teams.
