Ulsan City and DN Automotive Co., Ltd. have signed an investment attraction agreement worth 62 billion won and plan to complete a factory that produces 1.5 million high-performance batteries annually by next year.
Ulsan City will actively provide administrative support, including rapid licensing, and predicted that the investment will greatly contribute to revitalizing local jobs and the economy.
The expansion plant will be built on the site of Ulsan Plant 1 of the new general industrial complex in Onsan-eup, Ulju-gun, and most of the products produced will be exported.
DIN Automotive is a manufacturer and seller of automotive dustproof products and batteries, exporting more than 90% of automotive batteries.
Ulsan Mayor Kim Doo-gyeom said, "Ulsan City will continue to do its best to create Ulsan that is good for investment by strengthening its pro-business policy so that more companies in high-tech industries such as semiconductors and secondary batteries can invest in Ulsan."
