Police have launched an intensive crackdown on Halloween daytime police uniforms.

The National Police Agency said it has stepped up online monitoring to prevent the distribution and use of products similar to police uniforms and equipment during Halloween week from the 25th to the 3rd of next month.

We plan to focus on cracking down on 54 major online vendors and second-hand trading sites and request an investigation in case of illegal activities.

Earlier on the 21st, the National Police Agency sent an official letter to the Korea Online Shopping Association to strengthen the management of Halloween vendors and block search for related terms such as "police uniforms" and asked major second-hand trading sites to cooperate in the crackdown.

Local police departments will also manage crowds at major festival sites and conduct on-site guidance and crackdowns on wearing police clothes. The

Police Uniforms Act prohibits non-police officials from wearing or selling police uniforms or similar clothing.

The police equipment supply center corrected 54 cases last year through monitoring, requested an investigation of five cases and handed over three of them to the prosecution.

This year, five cases have been investigated and four cases are being investigated.
