A joint information technology exhibition between North Korea and Russia was held in Pyongyang, the Korean Central News Agency reported.

The exhibition, which will be held under the theme of information technology and digital development and cooperation, featured high-tech information technology products developed by educational and scientific research units and companies in both countries, the news agency said.

During the exhibition, presentations and working-level interviews were also scheduled for exchanges and cooperation in the IT and digital fields between North Korea and Russia.

Officials from North Korea and Russia who attended the opening ceremony mentioned the sublimation of friendly cooperation between North Korea and Russia into a comprehensive strategic partnership and emphasized that the exhibition will contribute to strengthening exchanges and cooperation in the field of science and technology.

The joint IT exhibition between North Korea and Russia was held in Pyongyang for the first time in 2006 and has not been mentioned by North Korean media since then, but it seems to have been held for the first time in 18 years due to the recent close ties between North Korea and Russia.
