The number of reports has decreased since August when police intensively cracked down on deepfake sex crimes.

The National Police Agency said it received 964 cases of deepfake sex crimes nationwide from the beginning of this year to the 25th, arresting 506 people and arresting 23 people.

After recording an average of 17.57 cases a day from September 7 to 13, the number of cases received fell to an average of 2.86 a day from September 18 to 25.

When 506 arrested suspects were classified by age group, 411 teenagers accounted for 81.2% of the total.

In the meantime, the National Police Agency selected three people of distinguished service to Deepfake sex crimes as candidates for special promotion and held an appointment ceremony to motivate the investigation and boost morale.
