The Korea Customs Service said implant exports in the first nine months of this year were $650 million, up 17% from the same period last year.
By country, exports to China were the highest at 39%, followed by the European Union and Russia.
Implant exports have continued to grow rapidly every year except in 2020, when COVID-19 spread.
In particular, exports last year were $790 million, surpassing 1 trillion won for the first time in Korean money, the highest ever on an annual basis.
The Korea Customs Service said demand for implants has continued steadily due to the aging population, and it is expected to achieve its highest performance this year.
