The Seoul Metropolitan Government said Mayor Oh visited the building in Jeokseon-dong yesterday (29th) and asked them to create a space where they can operate stably by reflecting the opinions of the bereaved family.
The memorial space is currently in a building in Eulji-ro, Seoul, but after consultation with the bereaved family, it was decided to move to a building near Gyeongbokgung Station on the 3rd of next month, five months after moving in.
The space will be used until November 2 next year to commemorate the victims, stabilize the sentiment of the bereaved families, and support recovery, and the Seoul Metropolitan Government will pay the building rent.
