The U.S. Indo-Pacific Command condemned North Korea's launch of intercontinental ballistic missiles and ICBMs into the East Sea earlier today and urged them to refrain from further provocations.

"The U.S. is aware of North Korea's ballistic missile launch and is closely consulting with South Korea, Japan and other regional alliance partners," the Asia Pacific Command said in a statement.

"The United States condemns North Korea's actions and urges it to refrain from any further illegal and destabilizing activities," he said.

He also said he does not believe the launch poses an immediate threat to Americans or U.S. territories and allies, but that he is keeping an eye on the situation, stressing that "the U.S. commitment to defend South Korea and Japan is as strong as iron."
