Chairman Kim told reporters at the National Assembly that President Yoon was elected before his inauguration and that there was nothing particularly problematic about it because it was part of a private conversation.
He then explained that President Yoon seemed to have talked to countless people the day before his inauguration, and that there was no explicit talk of nominating former lawmaker Kim Young-sun, and that the conversation with Myung was not memorable.
He also stressed that there are many unscrupulous behaviors of recording and disclosing private conversations these days, and that legal action is needed to break trustworthy human relationships and that he will collect opinions within the party.
Chairman Kim said, "We should wait and see how to respond at the party level, such as party audit," and added, "Since Myung is currently the subject of investigation, we should gather opinions on whether it is better to conduct a party audit."
