Following Hyundai Motor and SK Group, Samsung and LG decided to pay membership fees, and the four major groups became actual members of the Korea-Kyung Council.
Samsung Electronics announced that it will pay 1.8 billion won next month in response to the request for annual fees by the Korea-Kyung Council.
Prior to this, five LG Group companies, including the holding company, LG Electronics, LG Chem, and LG Uplus, completed payment of membership fees last week.
Earlier this year, the Korea Economic Association sent an official letter to 420 member companies, including the four major groups, and the annual fees for the four major groups are 3.5 billion won each.
