Former President Trump mentioned sexual violence by illegal immigrants at a campaign rally in Green Bay, Wisconsin, saying he would protect women, and that his aides stopped him from using expressions such as "protecting women" as inappropriate, but he said he would protect women whether they liked it or not.
Earlier in September, Trump also told female voters that you will no longer be lonely or afraid, that you will be protected and that I will be your guardian.
In response, Vice President Harris criticized Trump's remarks as only the most recent example of Trump's perception of women, saying he does not understand women's subjectivity and their ability to make their own decisions.
He also pointed out that Trump's perception led to a third of U.S. women living in states where abortion bans are enforced.
Earlier, Trump's remarks that Puerto Rico was a trash island during his New York campaign were controversial, followed by a battle when President Biden said Trump supporters were trash.
