The Incheon Queer Festival will be held from 1:20 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. near Bupyeong Station, and groups opposing the Queer Festival are also planning a rally near Bupyeong Station on the same day.
As a result, Bupyeong-daero control will begin around 6 a.m., and more than 3,400 people are expected to participate in marches in Bupyeong-daero and Gyeongwon-daero by 5 p.m., which is expected to cause road congestion.
Police said they plan to manage traffic by deploying more than 130 traffic police officers to the scene to induce vehicle detours, and asked them to use public transportation if possible.
The Queer Culture Festival is an event that promotes the human rights and sexual diversity of LGBTQ+ people and has been held every year in various parts of Korea since it was first held in Seoul in 2000.
