Report 'Explosives Installation' at KINTEX...an evacuation disturbance

An Internet post about explosives being installed at a game venue in KINTEX, Goyang, Gyeonggi Province, caused a commotion in which citizens who were waiting to enter were evacuated.

Ilsan Seobu Police Station launched a search with police commandos and personnel from nearby military units at 8:40 p.m. last evening (1st) after receiving a report that a post warning of a bombing was posted and deleted at the KINTEX venue.

For this reason, more than 200 citizens who were waiting to enter the venue early the next day fled to the outside under police guidance.

Police ended the situation in two and a half hours after the search using detection dogs did not show any explosives.

Two cyber investigations at the Northern Gyeonggi Police Agency believe the post was false, and are tracking down the person who wrote it on charges of intimidation.
