A makgeolli festival was held in Cheongju, North Chungcheong Province, where you can taste the nation's famous makgeolli evenly.

Produced by more than 30 famous breweries, distinctive makgeolli gathered in one place.

The vast grass square filled with the scent of sweet makgeolli is crowded with people.

The "2024 Korea K Makgeolli & Kimchi Festival," where you can meet makgeolli produced by more than 30 famous breweries nationwide, has opened.

If you show a bracelet certifying that you are an adult at each booth, you can try each region's unique traditional liquor for free and purchase it on site.

It is a makgeolli in the East Sea of Gangwon-do using natural mineral water from the loess rock layer.

It is fermented with sea breeze, and unlike thick and murky makgeolli, it is characterized by a clean and flavorful taste.

[South America / Gangwon makgeolli company: First of all, the taste of alcohol is water. It tastes very soft and clean when I eat it. And I feel better after eating, I don't have a hangover....]

Makgeolli, which is specialized in various flavors aimed at the younger generation, attracts attention from each booth.

Sparkling makgeolli, which has the red color of omija, is especially popular with young people.

A company in Cheongju, which received the grand prize at this year's Korean Liquor Awards, participated in the festival this year as well as last year to promote the taste, style, and cultural value of Chungbuk traditional liquor.
