Have you ever been stressed by the noise between floors of your apartment?
Construction companies are also working on technology development to solve the problem of inter-floor noise, which has emerged as a serious social problem.
We use noise-reducing materials on the floor and apply new technology to the ceiling.

From 2019 to July this year, there were well over 280,000 complaints about noise between floors.
In particular, the number of related complaints has been steadily increasing as the time spent in the living space has increased since the COVID-19 outbreak.
The construction industry has begun to develop technology to reduce noise between floors.
A large construction company has developed a first-class floor structure of floor noise that can be commercialized immediately.
The construction company explained that it received the first grade of floor impact sound performance evaluation by raising the noise blocking performance from the noise level of the home air conditioner to the noise level of the library.
The construction process was also reduced by constructing a simple structure of high-performance materials that catch noise.
Other large construction companies have developed the so-called "ceiling sound insulation structure" for the first time in the domestic construction industry.
Unlike the floor sound insulation structure previously used in the industry, it is a new technology that constructs a structure to reduce inter-floor noise on the ceiling.
One mid-sized construction company has developed a floor structure using high elastic mortar that is effective in reducing noise between floors.
It is expected to reduce the floor impact sound by more than 8 to 10 decibels.
The construction industry is releasing a series of technologies to catch noise between floors because consumers are becoming increasingly difficult and government regulations are strengthening.
Earlier, the government even announced strong measures not to grant permission to complete apartments that do not meet the standard in the post-examination of floor noise last year.
[Han Chan-hoon / Professor of architectural engineering at Chungbuk National University] If you don't meet the government-issued grades before completion, the construction company will reimburse them or suffer serious financial losses. Each construction company is working hard to develop its own technology to secure this rating.
While competition for technology development to control inter-floor noise is expected to intensify, the possibility of rising construction costs due to technology development remains a homework to be solved.
