Bio is one of the three major game changers that the government actively fosters along with artificial intelligence and quantum.

The National Bio Commission, which oversees and coordinates domestic bio policies with the president as its chairman, will soon be launched.

Reporter Lee Sung-kyu summarized the significance and specific role of the bio committee.

Vaccines and treatments that played a crucial role in ending the pandemic during the last COVID-19 pandemic.

As such, Bio is rapidly emerging as a game changer that will change the future not only in health care but also in security, environment, and industry.

In line with this international trend, the National Bio Commission will be launched to coordinate and decide national bio policies.

Next month, the first meeting chaired by the president will be held and a support group will be set up separately.

In the future, the Commission will actively reflect private opinions and significantly improve regulations that hinder bio-development and competitiveness.

It also plans to collect all national capabilities, such as expanding bio-related infrastructure industries and establishing a joint public-private cooperation system.

The government is also stepping up support for the artificial intelligence and quantum sectors, considered one of the top three game changers along with Bio.
