Chairman Choi made the remarks at the closing speech of the "2024 CEO Seminar" held at the SKMS Research Institute in Icheon, Gyeonggi-do from the 31st of last month to yesterday (2nd).
Choi stressed that improving operations does not mean simple efficiency, but is a process of securing fundamental competitiveness, and that entrepreneurship and communication, which are key elements of invisible management, should be emphasized.
As for the AI business, he stressed the need to expand the AI business to a global scale by creating the cheapest and best AI data center.
In particular, Chairman Choi cited strengthening competitiveness of AI chips, such as semiconductor design and packaging, and accelerating the 'energy solution' business in preparation for a surge in power demand as key tasks for SK in the future.
Separately, SK Group CEOs agreed to review portfolio rebalancing and operational improvement performance at the seminar, accelerate the implementation of follow-up tasks, and support global competitiveness of affiliates as well as their suppliers.
