As traffic increases during the fall holiday season, police have launched an intensive crackdown to prevent traffic accidents.

The Gyeonggi Southern Police Agency said it will strengthen traffic safety activities such as drowsy driving and violent driving as the number of group outings such as autumn foliage and local festivals has increased recently.

The police plan to first check the traffic conditions of highways and national roads in the air through helicopters and promote guidance and crackdown activities through situation rooms and on-site patrol personnel.

In particular, we will use dark patrol cars to crack down on high-risk activities such as bus line driving and reckless driving that can cause large casualties, and customized crackdowns on traffic violations, speeding, and drunk driving near major tourist destinations and festivals.

In addition, the police plan to operate a special crackdown period on drinking and drug driving for three months from this month to January next year, the year-end holiday.
