On the 3rd local time, Thai Foreign Minister Marit Saeng Yampong sent a letter of protest to Israel, calling on the Israeli government not to send Thai workers to dangerous areas.
It follows reports that some Israeli employers are bringing Thai workers to risky jobs on short-term contracts.
As a result, Thailand's foreign ministry has reduced the number of Thai workers trying to enter Israel for employment and has advised Thai nationals to postpone unnecessary travel to Israel and other conflict zones in the Middle East.
"It is fully understandable that some people have gone abroad to work for a better life," Marit said, but explained that the current situation in parts of the Middle East is very unusual, and there is a significant level of violence in the ongoing armed conflict.
Earlier on the 1st, four Thai workers were killed in a Hezbollah rocket attack in the town of Metula, near Lebanon in northern Israel.
The war between Israel and Palestinian militant Hamas killed 41 Thais last year, and last month, a Thai worker working on an Israeli farm was killed and one was injured.
In addition, 30 Thais are known to be the largest number of foreigners held hostage by Hamas in the early days of the war, six of whom are believed to have been held so far.
