Yesterday, our reporting team went to the scene of the arrest.

Police arrested suspect A in his 30s on the basement of Ilwon Station in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, at around 7 p.m. last night, a day after the body was found.

There was no resistance at the time of the arrest.

As a result of the investigation, it was confirmed that A is scheduled to be promoted to an active army lieutenant colonel working in a unit under the Ministry of National Defense in Gwacheon, Gyeonggi-do.

At the time of arrest, he was transferred to a unit in Songpa-gu, Seoul.

The police sent A to the Gangwon Police Agency last night to investigate.

According to the investigation, Mr. B, who died, was a 33-year-old woman, a fixed-term military officer who worked in the same unit as Mr. A.

He is a civilian because his term has recently ended, but Mr. B was a civilian at the time of the crime.

Mr. A and Mr. B argued in a vehicle in the military unit at around 3 p.m. on Friday the 25th of last month, when they were scheduled to be transferred and their term of office expired.

Earlier, when the body was found, the police quickly identified the victim by conducting DNA tests along with fingerprint identification.

After identifying the suspect who had a lot of contact with the victim through phone and CCTV analysis, A, who was wandering near the residence, was quickly arrested.

Divers, drones, and search dogs were mobilized from the morning to recover the body and secure additional evidence.

A little while ago, around 11:30 a.m., news came in that the entire body had been lifted.

There were many difficulties because it was confirmed that A put stones around the river together in a plastic bag when he discarded the damaged body.

Disaster and safety rescue teams and police underwater scientific investigation teams were deployed to lift all of the bodies without being lost to the downstream dam, and we plan to ask the National Forensic Service to evaluate them in the future.

In addition, since A confessed to the crime, he plans to reveal the motive of the crime and whether the crime was planned through a digital forensics on his mobile phone.
