According to data received from the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education by the Democratic Party of Korea's Kim Moon-soo's office and civic group "World Without Concerns about Private Education," only 57.3% of all 110 general high school seniors went to school in December last year.
In particular, a high school in Gangseo and Yangcheon had only 8.7% of the school attendance rate.
In mid-December, students do not appear to be coming to school because early admissions are already announced and regular admissions are largely irrelevant to attendance.
Civic groups argued that schools should not be an institution for entrance exams and that the connection to high school education between the CSAT and university-specific tests should be strengthened.
