An active military officer who killed a female military officer working in the same unit, damaged the body and dumped it in the Bukhangang River has been arrested.

It was claimed to be an accidental crime, but the cover-up process was meticulous.

The suspect, a military officer in his late 30s, was given a warrant this morning.

The court hearing ended in just about 10 minutes.

The court issued an arrest warrant, citing the destruction of evidence and fears of fleeing.

Yang, who was caught the day before yesterday (3rd), did not say anything at the time of the repatriation or during the police investigation yesterday.

It was the same today.

The suspect, Yang, was in his late 30s and was scheduled to be promoted to a lieutenant colonel serving in a unit in Gwacheon, Gyeonggi-do, after leaving the military academy.

On October 28, I was transferred to an affiliated unit in Songpa-gu, Seoul.

The victim who died was a 33-year-old military officer A who worked in the same unit.

Also, the contract has expired as of October 31st.To sum up what Ms.

About 10 days ago, at 3 p.m. on the 25th of last month, those who were about to expire had an argument in Yang's vehicle in the auxiliary parking lot.

The police have not accurately revealed the reason for the argument in consideration of privacy and the bereaved family's position.Ms.

claims, "I strangled Mr. A to death in outrage during a quarrel."

So it's an accidental crime.

But after the crime, the cover-up process was quite meticulous?

Mr. Yang, who killed Mr. A, covered the body in the vehicle with clothes and hid it, and finished working as a unit for now.

And after work, he damaged the body with the tools he had prepared in advance.

The site where the body was damaged was also a construction site scheduled to be demolished near the unit.

When the police visited the construction site, it was known that it was not easy to secure evidence because the retaining wall or floor had already been demolished.

Later, he dumped bodies around the Bukhangang River in Hwacheon, Gangwon-do, where he worked 10 years ago and knew the geography well, and he put rocks around him to prevent them from floating well.

When I returned to Seoul after the crime, I also used the victim's cell phone to avoid suspicion.Ms.

sent a text message to the unit on the 27th, the day after she abandoned the body, using Mr. A's mobile phone to ask for a vacation.

Yang posed as victim A because he feared that his crime would be revealed if he was absent without permission.

Afterwards, he decorated the victim's cell phone as if there was a life reaction by turning it off and on, and sent a message to the victim's family and acquaintances.

The police arrested the criminal fairly quickly after the incident was reported. There's a possibility of revealing personal information, right?

The whole story of the crime was revealed when residents reported that some bodies were found in the Bukhan River.

The first report came in last Saturday, and the police urgently analyzed the fingerprints and DNA to identify the victim.

After that, it was possible to quickly identify the suspect through analysis of mobile phones and CCTVs and surrounding inquiries.

This is why Yang, who was wandering around his home a day after the discovery of the body, was able to be arrested urgently.

However, he quickly arrested the body after it was revealed, and in fact, the murder crime itself occurred on the 25th of last month, that is, 11 days ago.

The body accidentally surfaced and the investigation took off.

If the body had not come out or had been lost through a dam upstream of the Bukhangang River, the crime itself might not have been revealed.

As the suspect Yang admitted to the crime, the police plan to gather investigative power to reveal the motive of the crime and the relationship with the victim in the future.

In addition, we plan to hold an open review committee soon to review whether A's personal information will be disclosed.
