Victims of the Itaewon disaster paid tribute to the joint memorial altar at Muan International Airport.

The bereaved families of the October 29 Itaewon disaster visited the joint memorial altar for the Jeju Air plane disaster at Muan International Airport and paid their respects.

Lee Jung-min, president of the Itaewon bereaved family council, said, "As a bereaved family member who suffered the same disaster, I know how great the devastation of losing a loved family member is," adding, "I came with the intention of expressing warm words of consolation."

In addition, he said, "I've heard that they suffer a lot of indiscriminate secondary abuse like in the Itaewon disaster," adding, "I hope you overcome it well."
