TBS applied for another revision of its articles of incorporation following August, saying it would disclose its annual donation fundraising and utilization results on its website to be recommended and designated as a public interest corporation.
In response, the KCC explained that the review, including external legal advice, requires deliberation and resolution by the KCC, including approval of major changes in the re-licensing business plan, as it is a matter of changing the source of operating funds.
Earlier, the Korea Communications Commission rejected TBS's application to change its first articles of incorporation to convert it into a non-profit foundation, saying it was a matter of deliberation and resolution.
Acting Chairman Kim Tae-kyu said it is unfortunate that the KCC is currently operating under a one-man system, so it is not possible to review the future direction of TBS.
He added that he hopes the KCC will be normalized as soon as possible to find a desirable solution to the direction of TBS operation.
