The prosecution has decided to set up a dedicated team to examine the overall allegations, including reinforcing the investigation team of Changwon District Prosecutors' Office, which investigates suspicions surrounding political broker Myung Tae-kyun.

The Supreme Prosecutors' Office said it will send four prosecutors to the Changwon District Prosecutors' Office's investigation team, including Lee Ji-hyung, the second chief prosecutor of the Busan District Prosecutors' Office, and Inhoon, the fifth chief prosecutor of the Ulsan District Prosecutors' Office.

The prosecution also sent two prosecutors from the Supreme Prosecutors' Office and the Busan District Prosecutors' Office to the Changwon District Prosecutors' Office on the 17th of last month, and the number of prosecutors in the Myeong case investigation team was 11, which is equivalent to the usual special investigation team.

In addition, the prosecution has been found to have dispatched two investigators specializing in account tracking so far.

The increase in the investigation team is interpreted as a measure that takes into account the importance of the issue and the growing demand for faster investigations, especially in political circles.

The Changwon District Prosecutors' Office is investigating allegations that Myung Tae-kyun received 90 million won in salary from Kim Young-sun, a former lawmaker of People's Power, dozens of times in exchange for helping nominate him for the by-election two years ago.
