The Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency's Anti-Corruption Criminal Investigation Unit sent Inspector A, who was a member of the Seocho Police Station in Seoul, without detention on charges of helping to destroy evidence of sexual crimes by JMS leader Chung Myung-seok.

Inspector A is accused of holding a meeting with JMS executives after Jeong's alleged sexual assault and discussing how to prepare for the forensics of his mobile phone and how to undermine the trust of the victim's statement.

Earlier, Jeong was arrested and charged with sexually assaulting Goddesses at a training center in Geumsan-gun, Chungcheongnam-do from February 2018 to September 2021, and was sentenced to 23 years in prison in the first trial in December last year.
