An amendment to the law, which extends the effectiveness of the special rules for 47% of free high school education by the central government until 2027, has been passed by the National Assembly Education Committee led by the opposition party.

Earlier, the Board of Education delayed the resolution of the bill at the request of the people's power and formed an agenda adjustment committee, consisting of four members of the Democratic Party of Korea, the Cho Kuk Innovation Party and two members of the People's Power, and voted on the revision according to the opposition party's opinion.

People's Power lawmakers protested, saying they held a press conference after the bill was passed, and that the opposition party completed the agenda coordination committee's function, which required 90 days of agreement, in an hour.
