The People's Power has repeatedly insisted that the sentencing hearing should be broadcast live for the right to know about the great public interest ahead of the first trial, including the violation of the Public Official Election Act by Lee Jae-myung, chairman of the Democratic Party.

Representative Han Dong-hoon said at the Supreme Council, "Representative Lee's allegations of perjury are complicated, but is there a trial that is more directly related to the future of the Republic of Korea?"

Floor leader Choo Kyung-ho also demanded that Lee confidently demand the court to broadcast the first trial live, adding that if Lee does not agree to the live broadcast, the court should make a decision to broadcast it live.

Supreme Council member Jang Dong-hyuk also pointed out that Lee's perjury teacher can be used as an exemplary success story, and that if Lee is a failed perjury teacher as the Democratic Party claims, he needs to show a scene of his political revival on TV.
