According to a test evaluation of eight bed mattresses and frames for children by the Korea Consumer Agency, five products were labeling or advertising that mattresses had antibacterial properties.
However, "First Sleep Mini Pocket Spring Mattress SS" (Super Single) of "Petirapang" and "Daily Kids Mattress SS (Super Single) of "Ilum" had no reduction effect on Staphylococcus aureus.
These companies have decided to exchange products free of charge or provide dedicated antimicrobial mattress covers in accordance with Consumer Agency recommendations.
The price of the product was up to 5.3 times different from 400,000 won to 2.2 million won, and the brands with relatively low prices without problems with quality and safety were found to be "Lady Furniture" and "Hansam."
