The Korea Customs Service will implement special customs clearance measures in preparation for the peak season of overseas direct purchases at the end of the year.

The Korea Customs Service has taken special measures against the year-end peak season as overseas direct purchases through September amounted to 133.6 million, already exceeding the size of a year last year.

First, we will operate a joint public-private special customs task force team with express delivery companies and warehouse management companies, and strengthen inspections of special cargo, clothing, and miscellaneous goods in countries where there is a high risk of bringing in goods for drugs and firearms.

In addition, we will select and monitor people who frequently purchase overseas direct purchases, analyze customs clearance, bring them in for self-consumption, and crack down on whether they sell them.
