Russia "Putin May Communicate Before Trump's Inauguration"

Russian President Vladimir Putin and U.S. President-elect Donald Trump are likely to communicate in January next year, the Kremlin says.

Asked about the possibility of a phone call with Trump, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said at a briefing on the 7th local time that he was "not excluded."

Peskov said Trump said he would call Putin before he took office, adding that he had nothing to add at this time.

Regarding the possibility of a meeting with Putin, he explained, "So far, the work has not been done, and it is still early. There is a lot of work between the presidents at the expert level."
