Choi Tae-won and So Young's Supreme Court Decision on 'Divorce of the Century' Today

It will be decided today whether the Supreme Court will directly look at the divorce lawsuit between SK Group Chairman Chey Tae-won and Art Center Director Noh So-young.

The Supreme Court must decide by midnight today (8th) whether to dismiss the hearing of Chairman Choi and Director Roh's divorce suit.

If the decision is made to dismiss the appeal without a hearing on the main issue, the second trial's ruling that Chairman Choi should pay KRW 1.38 trillion in cash as the property division will be confirmed.

On the contrary, if the Supreme Court does not decide to dismiss the non-continuance of the hearing and the period passes, the hearing process will begin in earnest.

The deadline for non-continuance of the hearing is four months after receipt, and in civil cases or divorce cases, if there is no violation of the Constitution or serious precedents on the grounds of appeal, the lower court can be confirmed without looking directly.

Chairman Choi appealed the divorce case to the Supreme Court on July 8.
