The New York Stock Exchange continued to strengthen due to the U.S. Federal Reserve's rate cut.

On the New York Stock Exchange, the Standard & Poor's 500 closed at 5,973.1, up 44.06 points and 0.74% from the previous session, setting a new one-day high.

The tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite rose 285.99 points and 1.51% to 19,269.46 from the previous session, also setting a new one-day high.
