Maritime police are conducting a search after a fishing boat sank in the sea near Jeju Island. There were 27 people on board, but more than 10 people went missing. Let's find out more about it with Yoon Woong-sung of the Ministry of Social Affairs. First of all, a report was received at around 4:30 a.m., so can you tell me the outline of where the accident occurred?

[Reporter]
It is a sea about 24km northwest of Biyangdo Island in Jeju. So, in terms of Jeju as a whole, you can think of it as the northwest of Jeju Island. It was around 4:30 a.m. today that the fishing boat was reported to be sinking. The ship in the accident is a large fishing boat that weighs more than 120 tons. So it is known that dozens of people can ride it, and a total of 27 crew members were reportedly on board at the time. It's a ship known as Venus, which you can see in the picture. Another ship passing by rescued 15 people, but two of them were unconscious. The remaining 12 people are still missing, but two unconscious people were also taken to the hospital, where they eventually died. According to the Coast Guard, the rescued sailors were all on the deck side to catch the catch at the time. And there was a statement saying that he was not wearing a life jacket. That's why I think the damage has increased in such a situation.

According to the damage tally so far, 27 people were on board, 15 were rescued, but two were eventually killed. And the rest of the crew is said to be searching now, so how is the search going now?

[Reporter]
I'll explain it to you while looking at the picture. Let's look at the picture taken by the Coast Guard aircraft first. We are continuing to shoot while searching the area near the accident area. You can also see ships floating on the sea. I think it's Hallim Port right now. It seems that the rescued crew members were rescued and moved toward Hallim Port. If you show me the next picture. You can see ships floating on the sea. At first, the Jeju Coast Guard said that one helicopter, two patrol ships, and one coastal rescue boat would carry out rescue activities at the site. In addition, 17 coast guard ships and 4 aircraft are currently deployed, and it is expected that more will be deployed as the day gets brighter. If you look at it, you can see the crew floating on the sea using a telescope or something from the deck. This is the view from the sea through the aircraft I mentioned earlier. In addition, about 10 private fishing boats are also participating in the search. The Navy will also send three more ships and an aircraft. That's what I said. Haejeong said, "We will continue to put in more rescue forces as much as possible."

Since the accident occurred at dawn, it may have been more difficult to rescue because the view was not secured, but now that it's bright, I hope it's rescued quickly. First of all, how are the rescued people?

[Reporter]
As I said earlier, another ship passing by rescued 15 people, and the two were taken to Halla Hospital, a large hospital nearby, unconscious, and eventually died. Both of them have been identified as Koreans. If you look at the total of 15, there are six Koreans and nine foreigners. And all foreigners are known to be Indonesian, but they are said to be in good health and good health for 13 people.

[Anchor]
If so, I hope the situation in the rescued sea area is friendly. What about the weather or rescue situation?

[Reporter]
Now the Coast Guard says it's not a very bad situation to search. From our perspective, the wind and waves of about 4-6m per second are relatively smooth and calm, about 1m. The Korea Coast Guard is operating the Central Rescue Headquarters to search and rescue the scene. The key must be rescue work. It's early winter weather now, but it's been four hours since the accident occurred. I'm also concerned about hypothermia. Rapid structure seems to be the most important.

[Anchor]
We just reported it on the news.Ma said that the search is difficult because the depth of the sea is deep. Is there any coverage of this part as well?

[Reporter]
As soon as we find out more about the depth and the situation in real time with the Korea Coast Guard, we will deliver it when additional people come in.

[Anchor]
I see. President Yoon Suk Yeol also issued an emergency order, what was it about?

[Reporter]
After the accident, President Yoon issued an emergency order, saying, "The relevant ministries, centered on the Korea Coast Guard, should make every effort to search and rescue lives by mobilizing all available resources." The government has issued a coastal crisis response manual and a crisis warning time. In the meantime, President Yoon Suk Yeol also pays attention to the safety of rescuers. The rescuers were also ordered to search while paying attention to safety, and Prime Minister Han Deok-soo also asked the Ministry of Public Administration and Security, the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries, and the Korea Coast Guard to ask for help from all available ships and fishing boats and merchant ships operating around them. The Ministry of National Defense ordered the Ministry of National Defense to support lighting bombs and deploy aircraft to cooperate with the Coast Guard's rescue efforts as much as possible so that night search operations can be carried out smoothly. It was reported that the Ministry of the Interior and Safety also dispatched a field situation manager to respond quickly and resolve it. The Jeju Coast Guard said it will brief media companies at 2 p.m. today as soon as the specific search situation comes in.

[Anchor]
I hope to hear about the rescue as soon as possible. Please let me know again when you hear the details. It was with Yoon Woong-sung, a reporter from the Ministry of Social Affairs. Thank you.
