Maritime police are conducting a search after a fishing boat sank in the sea near Jeju Island. There were 27 people on board, but more than 10 people went missing. First of all, a report was received at around 4:30 a.m., so can you tell me the outline of where the accident occurred?

It is a sea about 24km northwest of Biyangdo Island in Jeju. So, in terms of Jeju as a whole, you can think of it as the northwest of Jeju Island. It was around 4:30 a.m. today that the fishing boat was reported to be sinking. The ship in the accident is a large fishing boat that weighs more than 120 tons. So it is known that dozens of people can ride it, and a total of 27 crew members were reportedly on board at the time. It's a ship known as Venus, which you can see in the picture. Another ship passing by rescued 15 people, but two of them were unconscious. The remaining 12 people are still missing, but two unconscious people were also taken to the hospital, where they eventually died. According to the Coast Guard, the rescued sailors were all on the deck side to catch the catch at the time. And there was a statement saying that he was not wearing a life jacket. In addition, 17 coast guard ships and 4 aircraft are currently deployed, and it is expected that more will be deployed as the day gets brighter. Both of them have been identified as Koreans. If you look at the total of 15, there are six Koreans and nine foreigners. And all foreigners are known to be Indonesian, but they are said to be in good health and good health for 13 people.

The government has issued a coastal crisis response manual and a crisis warning time. In the meantime, President Yoon Suk Yeol also pays attention to the safety of rescuers. The rescuers were also ordered to search while paying attention to safety, and Prime Minister Han Deok-soo also asked the Ministry of Public Administration and Security, the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries, and the Korea Coast Guard to ask for help from all available ships and fishing boats and merchant ships operating around them.
